At boarding school, or at least at our school, we have very limited access to TV. Thankfully, Netflix and Hulu exist, or else I don’t know what I’d do. Practically everyone at my school has an account for either of those sites, if not both. I’m the kind of person that loves to get hooked a show that has already been out for a while, so I don’t have to wait a week for every episode to come out. As the Breaking Bad Series Finale aired earlier this fall, I thought it was about time to start watching this show that had so many people on campus going crazy for the finale.
Breaking Bad is definitely one of the more popular shows on my campus, so I went into the show knowing it was going to be good. And it is! The show follows a man who is diagnosed with cancer, so he begins cooking methamphetamine in order to provide for his family after his death. If you haven’t heard of it, I would strongly recommend checking it out. The acting, as evidenced by the shows’s many awards and critical acclaim, is phenomenal. Even if you don’t love the story line, there’s no denying the supreme talent of the actors. My only disclaimer is that the violence can get pretty graphic and gruesome, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. And you know the best part? It’s on Netflix! So, if you’re looking for a new show to get hooked on, I definitely suggest any of you to try Breaking Bad!
